Coast and Beaches of Mallorca

Mallorca is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. It offers visitors some of the most beautiful beaches and coves of the Mediterranean.

The Mallorcan coast boasts an inimitable natural beautiful, which is based on the variety of its terrain, the transparency of its waters and the peculiar arrangement along the entire periphery of small coastal coves, discrete and hidden, have a role alternative to large expanses of sandy beaches some of the most famous and visited the island.

The coasts of the island combined areas of spectacular cliffs, with heights around 300 meters in some places, with others of low rocky or sandy shore, more suitable for transit or sightseeing.

In the northern part of the island is where you can find the most rugged coves, many with pebbles instead of sand. Is the representative case of Sa Calobra. But as the drift towards the coast northeast of the Majorcan coastline, the beaches become more accessible, because they become extensions of soft sand dune. This is the case of Sa Canova, Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla. Some places still untouched in a high percentage of its length, where to find the characteristic dune vegetation, which forms a very special and attractive landscape. They also emphasize the long sandy east of Pollença and Alcudia, even though it is more urbanized areas. Its huge bay are stunning natural beauty.

But when it comes to beaches in Mallorca the most representative is, without doubt, the Es Trenc. One of the most beautiful coastal extensions and best preserved of the archipelago.

More about Palma beaches are also worth highlighting. Arenal is the case. A large sandy expanse half belonging to the municipality of Palma and Llucmajor. There are also many beaches and many coves on the coast that runs from Palma to Andratx, many with special ecological and scenic value.
