The Majorcan climate is typically Mediterranean, with high temperatures in summer (up from 30 °C) and moderate temperatures in winter (rarely below 5 °C). Snowfall is common in winter in the highest peaks of the Sierra de Tramuntana but exceptional in the plain and the capital. Being an island, the humidity is high.
